    You asked about is it minor or not, the answer is no. Minor notes meaning komal gandhar is must, but in marwa shudh gandhar is used, so major nots re being used.

    Moreover the rendition is improvisational as ustad ji is singing the drut bandish part of the recital, and marwa is fixed within the previouly stated notes, now if you do permutation combination of the stated notes within the grammatical boundary of the raga, then it may be called improvisation.
