Mohd. Rafi - The She I Love (1969)

One of my prized possessions, a 45rpm single by the great Mohammed Rafi. Singing in English, so I can understand what he's singing about for a change! The other side is also good called 'The World Is One'. Both songs are written by renowned songwriters Shankar & Jaikishan. Lyrics (poem) by Chattopadhyaya.
There are so many great innovative and colourful Bollywood and Lollywood songs from the 60's, 70's and early 80's to be discovered.

I also have this original 45rpm disc, a very rare possession indeed. I got this from a neighbour who was immigrating to the states and for some reason he left all his english record collection to me which included this 45rpm disc.

I was recently in Mauritius and was told of a belgian tourist who offered over $100 dollars to a guy who also had this original disc over there. When Rafi came to Mauritius in the late 60's he recorded a song in the creole language (broken french) in sega style. RARE!
