  • It's amazing how far we have come in life

  • 64k chips? Where's the 64GB chip that size?

That "American" Dodge used a VW engine until 1981 which makes that car as American as that Lowenbrau beer

  • Man, McDonald's ads just aren't THAT cheery anymore.

  • McLean Stevenson should not wear lamé.

  • @ilovebobgunton Styrofoam decomposes faster than many paper products.

  • @Uprock415 And those things won't be decomposing anytime soon.

  • @Idoljunky32

Lowenbrau and Schlitz are still around but Schlitz especially had a hard time during the late 80's and 90's. Pabst eventually bought Stroh's (who bought Schlitz in '82) in '99 and thus aquired all their brands. Pabst then reintroduced the old formula in '08 to try and revive the brand after the beer fell into obscurity. Wikipedia has a good article on it if you're interested. Just type "Joseph Schlitz Brewing Company" into google and click the wiki link. :)

  • @videodoe I was about to comment and say that these sure do seem rather quiet and low-key compared to today's Super Bowl ads (or any ad from today, for that matter).

  • There are some great jingles in this volume. i.e. McDonald's Schlitz & Coke

    9. the more things change, the more they stay the same

I wonder if any airlines have the same policy that Eastern Airlines did at this point in time

  • @RoxyAlexander I remember making the same comment back when these ads used to air. My father said that if you shot directly at the steel U-loop the bullet - while I'm sure it would leave a mark or dent - would just ricochet off without severing it. More to the point though, if you want to defeat a lock like that, why are you using a gun? Just bring some bolt cutters.
