Eustace Chapuys visits Cromwell (The Tudors scene)

"Oh no, he's coming, let's hide the food!"
"His Excellency, the Imperial Ambassador."
"Ah, Eustace! It's so good of you to come all the way to Shoreditch."

This is, as far as I know, the only scene where we can see Cromwell's wife. In fact he was already a widower at that time, but as we all know, "the Tudors" is not one of the most historically accurate shows :) And, it's not nice to be alone.

Good question :D Maybe he does it because he wants to get rid of Eustace fast and that wouldn't happen if they started to eat together.

Or maybe Cromwell's just stingy. It might be possible, because he obviously spares candles. You see, this is not the only time when we see him sitting in the dark. Not good for his eyes :(
