Michelangeli had laws only he could follow, and for all the carping of some here, this post has still won plaudits. Bravo, Michelangeli! (:-D)

Extraordinary pianism, however I'm unconvinced with the breakneck tempo of the first one.

Horowitz is a great Scarlatti performer. My entire opinion of him is based on his Scarlatti recordings; the rest, I could do without. Michelangeli handles this sonata very well, perhaps a tad bit slower, but otherwise great. I could not image a better interpretation. Only Lipatti could have possibly played it better if he had ever played it.

Scarlatti needs to breathe more; these are well played but other performers, Horowitz, for instance, have a better sense of timing.

No, sorry to say, but he is right.

Lovely playing. Thank you!
First one is a sonata h-moll(b minor,or si menor),then after aplauses goes sonata c-moll(do minor),then A dur(la major) and re minor(d-moll)...The indexes are totally wrong as well, but, anyways, thank you for posting....
