Can you make good money in this field? I am about to be a 2nd semester freshman soon and I was thinking about switching into Computer and Information Technology with a focus on CIS. I know managers make a lot of money but what if you're not a manager? Are you stuck making 35,000 a year? or can you make 80+ regardless?

@mik3ayala18 how did it turn out for you? im starting on the 22nd. im thinking it will get me ready for programming classes, cause i haven't programmed at all really and starting from zero. i've gone into soe code to change things here and there, but its just trial and error and i never really knew what i was doing lol

@rdxxxx currently an undecided sophomore in the business college at my university. i have no idea how to program computers and the only prior experience to any language was my high school q basic class. computers have always interested me though and i think could be good at it. should i just say fuck it and go into marketing or an operations management type thing or am i going to be starting from the ground up with this major?

my cousin started out with a job for a drug company as an IT and his beginning salary was 35,000 a year right out of college. But in one year they doubled his salary to 70,000 and it is now 5 years later he is making 157,000 a year and has currently been home doing nothing for 2 and half weeks now because they don't need him at this moment but is still getting paid. I'm pretty sure i can say that he has the luckiest job in the world...
