The second part of a must-watch documentary in which two sisters and one brother, all descendants of African slaves now living in the UK, investigate their genetic origins. During their journeys they learn a massive amount and are all forced to re-evaluate their sense of identity. • i didnt think that most west indians really cared about any connection to africa. they have a very hostile attidute towards us in the uk and sneer at the mention of africa as in their heads africans are backward and smell..

  • That's due to colonial education which instilled these attitudes in them. IBut at the same time, our people in the Caribbean have produced some of the most African-centred movements and activists ever - think Marcus Mosiah Garvey, the Rastas, etc.

  • Is Haiti the ONLY Country that respects it's own African culture? I mean Dominican republic's and the rest of Latin Americas motherland: Spain, Jamaicans and the rest of English speaking Caribbean countries motherland: England. Haiti's Mother land: Africa!. jeez! We must be blacker than the rest of the Caribbean population. : )

  • LOL. At the end the brother is shocked. I'm not. Absolutely not. This is what to expect for us blacks. We come from everywhere.

"Again: Let's rewind to WW2 and ask who realy went into those ovens and gaschambers. Who were the NAZI's after and for what goal (mutulation of history)"

  • @oluwalogbon58 your are a fool so many tribes in africa pass their inheritance thru women and they are the keepers of our history and it is the motherland even black in africa call it that which country are you from that teachs you this crap

  • @oluwalogbon58 oh shut up! your comments are of someone who has problem with peopl getting to knw africa its their home too whether you like or not and l for one see them as our brothers and sisters so save it

  • @AfricansArise never mind that fool you kept on going till africa is free and we as black people all around the world raise up.l lv your vids

  • @oluwalogbon58 who the fuck are you too say all these things this is why black people like you never get anywhere.i respect africanarise for putting up this vid we are all connected whether you like it or don't

  • Nothing against the documentary, but I think DNA testing is bullshit. Peep dude when they tell him his ancestors are white. lol. He got goose bumbs. Answer this, how the hell did he get to such feature if none of his genetic trace back to a descendant of a slave? lol

  • i say things as i see them, nothing more, nothing less. i wont put a gloss on anything just because someone, somewhere wants to read it. we are from different worlds thats just the way it is.. your videos are interesting but am looking at them as an outsider.. just because we might share the same skin tone doesnt mean we see the world the same way or have the same experiences..
