One thing that always bothered me about this song is, what sounds like a wrong note hit at 4:29 into the song. It's always been a distraction for me, ever since it first came out. Maybe he did it purposely, but it sounds discordant to me, and every time I hear the song I think of that badly hit note. (or a poor progression)

I used to like this song because it was about american women and it kicked ass. Then I found out that the band was Canadian, and that this song was about the US. Looking around my corporate-controlled bible-belt bumblefuck country... I love this song even more.

This is clearly a war protest song, speaking on the disgusting sense of bland patriotism, consumerism, and warmongering. I think you hit the nail on the proverbial head.

@Tovasdad - I'm befuddled by the imagery in this video. What message are you trying to convey? I'm guessing (and this is merely a guess) that you think that American women dress 'untznius' and that Condoleeza Rice represents good while Hillary Clinton is somehow bad. I'm really at a loss as to what the message is. A little help?
