She was quoted (way out of context) in the original McCain ad. Her commens were taken out of context because she was talking about sexism in the coverage of the H. Clinton campaign, not comments made about S. Palin. The McCain campaign cut-and-paste Couric comments into their ad to imply that the media saw Obama's 'lipstick' remark was a sexist critique of Palin, when in fact Obama was making a remark about the redressing of old republican policy as new. Confused? Blame the McCain team.
