DSI Evolver - tweaking parameters

I just got the Dave Smith Instruments Mono Evolver Keyboard (MEK). It has some really nice sounds...what I did for this video is pick one patch and twist some knobs while the 16-step sequencer triggered away. The Evolver has some awesome analog patches, ambient textures, and cool digital hybrids. Bank #1 Program #64 is a very agressive percussion-bass sound. Cranked up it shook the walls! I zeroed in on the display screen so you could see the parameter I was tweaking and how it was affecting the sound. I wish you could hear how it sounded in stereo and thru my studio monitors...but this will at least give you a perspective on one aspect of this very versatile synth.

I included some video clips documenting various adventures I've undertaken the past few years. Much of it includes explosive devices, burning instruments, and an occasional "this is going to turn out bad" encounter with a leather clad nymphet.

The keyboard costs 2400 bucks, so what are you talking about. I know my facts, and the facts are this recording is distorted and clipping, and of zero worth is assessing this keyboard.

sounds very harsh...i don't like digital oscillators...that's why i am getting the prophet 08...for digital, i always have my korg synth and vst plug ins.

the two main oscillators are analog as is the lowpass filter - exactly like the Prophet 08. The cool thing about the Evolver is it also has an additional two digital osc featuring waveforms from the incredible Prophet VS. You can combine fat analog with harsh aliasing for some unique textures. The distortion and feedback controls allow for some additional sick harshness that is painful at higher volume. Sweet.

the evolver is the greatest bargain analog synth of the past two decades. period. and i have TONS of gear, it packs more punch than anything near it's price range

This demo its very ugly, dont show the real power of Evolver... the distorts and ultrafeedback effects are on very basic setup studios, the Evolver is a real beast with more than overdrive effects... Evolver really are a modern Pro-One/Prophet VS...
