In Dreams from My Father, Barack Obama mentions this sermon. So, was this the same exact sermon that President Obama heard that inspired him?

Perhaps you should research some and read Dr. King's speeches during the 60's.

Condemning America for its sins of racism, militarism and injustice...in many ways, yes.
You obviously only know about the sanitized MLK that America has tailored to be palatable to the masses.

He is a social gospel minister which most are not.

Hmmm sounds like you did not listen to the full sermon. It also sounds like you feel like truth is inacceptable.
-
comparing him with Martin Luther King Is an Insult to the great Doctor.
-
well every minister I have ever met has never said anything like that in any of their sermons!
-
oh so saying god damn america isnt preaching hate? saying everything is the white mans fault isnt preaching hate? Hatred or hate is a word that describes intense feelings of dislike. hmm sounds like it fits the definition!

He has had no hate preaching thank you very much. Also, what makes you not think that the vast majority of his preaching over the course of 35 + years has not been like this one.
-
the purpose of the older sermons was to show that his hate preaching has been going on for years that it hasnt just started which shows that Obama has been taking all of this hate in for 20 years
Powerful message

How interesting that THIS sermon (that actually HAS influenced Barack Obama) has so few hits, yet the divisive statements that Obama has repudiated (even more than a year ago) are receiving all the attention.
Could it be that someone can be insipired by some of what a speaker says, but turned off by others? Could it possibly be that Obama heard these types of sermons much more often than he heard what is now being played in the news?
Get a grip people.
