Do the actors know English or is their a language coach feeding them the lines and pronunciations?

it is really weird to see this! on ATWT the settings are so different and if you look at how EH is acting and than look at the other actors you can really see that they are in awe of her. They aren't really acting naturally, but saying up their lines correctly..

I respectfully disagree. Anita Donk, Alexandra Alphenaar and Emiel Sandtke are all great actors. Their acting styles might be different, but that doesn't mean they're not natural. I think especially Anita Donk did a fantastic job playing a daughter who can't wait for her mother to go back to Los Angeles again. Some of her face expressions are completely horrified. It's subtle, but it's defintely there.

to be fair, most English speaking people in Canada don't speak French even if they're taught it in school. You guys are unusually good with languages compared to us!

@in2nuke Both. Dutch people speak English very well, usually. But it's a scripted show, so... it seems logical to me that someone is feeding them their lines.

I've watched alot of dutch shows and stuff. They always speak english somewhere in the middle, lol, I'm always like, hey they're smarter than us.LOL

You know we have schools in Holland! We all learn English in school in Holland at a young age. English is the nr 1 language in the world. Ofcourse the actors know English.

Ms. Hubbard is excellent. The writing of this show is so good, people just talking about their day to day lives and problems. I wish they could just do this down to earth stuff on ATWT.
