i think they are aiming the project to the wrong target:

A Super User (professional) will have projects and files on his computer that needs a lot of space, and programs that will take a lot of memory and stuff..

A End User will probably only navigate the web for email, music, videos n stuff.

So, this project should be aimed for end users, cause they are actually the only ones that will use chromeOS the way they it is suppose to. No super user is going to store important data on their servers

You so sure OSX is as prone to viruses as you say? The last time I checked, there was one known virus on OSX, and it only works if the page is accessed in Safari. Though to give you some credit, I would say, the biggest reason no one bothers to hack OSX is because of the user type.

    1. Users looking for a reliable, professional Unix machine to get work done

    2. Users looking to use Facebook and twitter.

People smart enough to keep their computer safe, and people who don't use their computer

This is technical information about Chromium OS, not Chrome OS marketing for end users - it's aimed to target interested about this.

While I agree that Ubuntu is secure, and I don't know if there are or are not so many flaws in OsX, I do know that they participate in events such as Pwn2own where they pay hackers for showing them weaknesses so they can fix them. I don't take any security information from advertising, I take it from people online mainly who can describe in depth what makes something secure or insecure, and what they talk about in this video is exactly what I have learned about OsX, how does Ubuntu better it?

Ubuntu has been far more secure than Apple, when comparing security you cannot compare Apple with anyone else, other companies make security holes known and patch them, Apple are undoubtedly one of the worst companies for patching security loops and are not as secure as everyone goes on about. People should stop basing their "secure" opinion of products based on a 30 second television ad comparing a nerdy PC guy and a hip Apple guy stating one is more secure than the other. Every OS has flaws.

yeah most likely they wont unfortunatly and personaly i think Ubuntu is more user friendly then Windows i dont know it may just be the power trip of being able to tell the computer exactlt what to do and most of the time it does it but anyways Windows sucks i think most people can agree on that

Yeah, it's a shame. I love my mac, but I love that Ubuntu can work as a home OS which is free and works on machines with older hardware so much better than windows, all it needs is a few things made more user friendly. I wonder if Microsoft will finally come around and see that every other good OS in the world is using UNIX for its speed, stability and security features and make a Windows X or something in UNIX (probably unlikely).

Thanks for some clarification. So I guess I'm right in assuming that they are selling technology that has existed for years as if it's new. People will probably try it and praise them for its security, ignoring that Ubuntu and Apple have been as secure for years and think that Google isn't profiteering as much as Apple do, forgetting that Google will track them online and advertise to them constantly making probably as much money back off this as Apple do on OsX.
