@narucy56 It is the only choice if all the apps are in HTML5.

This makes too much sense.

i think they are aiming the project to the wrong target:
A Super User (professional) will have projects and files on his computer that needs a lot of space, and programs that will take a lot of memory and stuff..
A End User will probably only navigate the web for email, music, videos n stuff.
So, this project should be aimed for end users, cause they are actually the only ones that will use chromeOS the way they it is suppose to. No super user is going to store important data on their servers
-
@SechsyTwink, this OS isnt aimed at users who tend to use demanding software on a regular basis (games, editing etc) ... Your first statement isn't a flaw ... it's a feature ... for the police & government lol.

I see three design flaws:
1. Backups are either not encrypted or are encrypted in such a way that the backup service can decrypt the data. Yet, the backup service may be hacked, the government may request the data, an employee may gain access to the data, and the backup service may begin abusing the data.
2. Physical access to the device introduces several vulnerabilities.
3. Some software (e.g., video editing programs) will need a lot of offline storage. Yet, web apps are normally limited.

@KindomOfHappiness Well in all honesty, they're building it off of a Linux OS. There's a variety of reasons why they'd want to use Chrome OS.

@stevenmcl1 But who in there right mind would be a professional computer person and get Chrome OS?
