The RB44 Truck Utility Heavy (TUH 4x4)
MOD spec Reynolds Boughton 4x4 conversion built on a Modified Renault Dodge 50 series 5,600kgs chassis with a Perkins phaser 110 Turbo engine. Dana front and rear axles, Spicer T-290 gearbox, Cab pretty much like any other dodge 50.
846 vehicles were ordered by the MOD for use by the Army, Navy, and the RAF. About 100 have been buried in Iraq, 150 sold on to the public and the remainder are still in service.
See http://www.dodge50.co.uk/rb44-story-1.html for detailed trials and tribulations of the production of this vehicle.
