  • I had the fantastic privilege of meeting Bluey Mottershead on 19/3/11 at the Yorkshire Air Museum where he posed for photographs, signed memorabilia and recounted his experiences on 158 squadron. What a brilliant gentleman.

  • I loved hearing Mr Mottershead speak about the war days with 158 Squadron. My Great Uncle Norman Tilston flew with 158 Squadron and completed 35 sorties and was awarded the dfc medal along with three others from his crew. He also flew the famous Halifax " Friday the 13th " on operation 98. I also lost another great Uncle from 77 Squadron on the Dusseldorf raid on Nov.2,1944. i have a video on here about that. thanks for posting your video.

    Cheers.
