Good News Everyone!
sorry for my raspy voice,a remain from last week's cold, so no singing yet :p (yes, i will.... later :p )
i have a new uke, this time it's a Tenor, but a travel one: the Kala Slimline

shipped by default with Aquila strings, then changed to a low-G Fremont to give it more depth

this little baby might become my new favorite, beautiful resonnance and awesome projection for it's tiny size (even tho it's probably bigger than my Flea) it sounds LOUD =)

i do figure my camera's microphone has it's limits, i need to manage a better mic for future recordings, as this ukulele desserves it :)

back after some hours of practuce, to get used to that slightly longer scale :)

  • Hi thanks for the review! So do recommand it? Which one do you prefert, the Kala or the Flea?

    Thank you :)

  • @FredCusson

well the flea is stronger with it's plastic body, andi it's easier to play, while the kala is more traditional, i haven't tried aquila strings on the flea yet but the kala sounds a lot better with much more volume and projection , i did have to lower it's action by fitting in a custom saddle, but now the kala is my preffered, even tho it is the cheapest of my collection :D

  • wow... what progression chords are you playing? Just bought the same uke

  • @ruel143 : just messin with "sultans of swing" and "hare hare yuukai" already recorded on my channel, check them you should find most chords, if you don't, chordie.com, or google shall give you the answers ;)

also the last one is "the house of the rising sun", this one should be common enough :)

  • :) Finally something from you again :)

  • @SarumeMutara yep, my previous video being shot in a hospital, it's been a while since i wanted to show that i'm at least alive :D

  • @yattaandyou Thanks for the advises! :)

  • Coulda watched you all afternoon. Excellent loose relaxy flamenco style of playing. Really enjoyed. Thanks!

  • Thanks for a good video, & one hell of a good playing.

I think that these Kala Travel Ukes would propably

sound better with GHS black strings on them.

For this uke I find that the Aquila strings are too "open"

(for lack of a better word).

  • Poor folk guitar ;). Thanks for the vid. it's pretty cool.
