Pink Convict Cichlid fry

My Pink Convict Cichlid pair's first successful spawn.
They are so cute... they became free swimming on the 30th... so that means the parents laid the eggs on christmas or christmas eve

The time that it takes the eggs to hatch is usually a little less than a week. Mine were at just about a week but I think that was because of the temperature. The warmer the temperature the faster the eggs tend to hatch. I wouldnt go above 85. 80 Is prob a good temp to keep the tank at. Also they will take about 2-4 days (mine took 3 days) to become free swimming. So after the eggs are laid it should take about 8-11 days for the fry to be free swimming.

i got parents and fre swiming fry for free at my local petshop.

nope... all free

and all but the 30 gal came with fish

and all of them came with supplies (lol i have 6 or so siphons) and food

but i have had to buy some filters and heaters and other stuff that breaks or runs out
