Part travelogue, adventure and coming-of-age story, season two of On the Road in America follows four young Arabs—two women and two men—as they embark on a quintessentially American rite of passage: a cross-country road trip. Like the acclaimed first season, this installment of On the Road will view America through the eyes of these young Arabs, while fostering cross-cultural exchange and understanding.

The travelers take part in typical American experiences and gaining insights into formative events that shaped American culture. The people they meet, and adventures they have along the way, provide a unique look into the lives and experiences of Americans and act as catalysts for personal growth and acceptance. Through the prism of the cast's perceptions, Americans will develop a better understanding of Arabs and, hopefully, themselves.

The second season of On the Road features a young and diverse cast. Sara
Hoteit, 23, is Shia and grew up in Côte dIvoire. Sara now lives in South Beirut
and works in marketing. Lama Masri, 21, was born and grew up in Saudi Ara-
bia. A devout Sunni Muslim, Lama is a Joseph Assi is a 22-year-old Palestinian
refugee and filmmaker who resides in a camp in Lebanon and comes from
a Christian family. Basheer Haddad, 25, is a Sunni Muslim convert from a
Druze family, and hails from Cairo. Basheer is a model and actor.

This season, the cast began their journey in Los Angeles and traveled to Washington, DC via the Southwest, deep South and Mid-Atlantic states. Each location provided a context for exploring important issues such as capitalism, poverty, faith, race relations and education. The second season will premiere in primetime on MBC1, on Friday March 19 at 19:00 GMT.

On the Road in America (Ala Al-Tariq fi Amrika) is Layalina's reality travelogue series produced in association with Visionaire Media of Los Angeles. Academy Award-nominated and multiple Emmy award-winning producer Jerome Gary is the series' creator, director and executive producer.
