Paul Breed of Unreasonable Rocket made two flights at F.A.R. this weekend. His first was a tethered flight and went well, his second didn't. The rocket, name Blue, launched and rose to 1000 feet very quickly, right away Blue looked unstable was beginning to fly out of control, Paul Breed said that it was flying towards the spectator area so he made the decision to pull the plug, literally. The engine was cut and the tank was depressurized. The rocket fell to the earth and smashed into the ground destroying it's self in the process. Paul has declared the rocket dead. One note, the (pure) hydrogen peroxide rocket vented at about 400 feet while it was upwind of yours truly, spraying myself and others in the viewing bunker! I barely got any but a couple of other people had white spots all over them. There were no serious injuries.
That was awesome!

I was so sorry to hear about this--Paul has put in a lot of time and sweat, and accomplished amazing things. I have no doubt he'll continue to do so, despite this setback.
