I'm well aware that the old CD was just D, A#, and C the entire time, but the way they placed it and worked the synth parts into it was so good. The new CD absolutely is more original and works awesome chord progression with amazing guitar parts, but lacks vocally. It doesn't matter how good you sing if it sounds like your writing as you go. Napalm and Heads or Tails are perfect, but the rest of the CD doesn't impress me at all. Napalm is the only one I can listen to without losing interest

The music still sounds similar between the two bands. I'm not saying JC did that, but when you play post hardcore, with melodic major scale guitar parts, it's hard to play something that can still give you chills. I can't sit here and say the old CD had better guitar parts and more originality, but I can tell you the new CD just doesn't have the energy or "catchiness" that the old one had. This is only my opinion of course, I'm not pushing this as fact.

But his writing and ability to place his his words on those songs is comparable to craig owens and anthony green understandably you dont need to like them his whole message if u see jonny live is respect music and fuck haters of music enjoy it for what it is. So stay good man I respect your opinion but when we look back hes gonna be one of the best singers of our generation.

old emarosa was generic it sounded like other bands in general ie underoath and others I love them but its true and emarosa doesnt have the ability to play like dgd they were a experimental metalish post hardcore band focus on the experimental metal parts. emarosa new being is a very different sound far from old emarosa and dgd his singing is reminiscent of dgd because he has an awesome voice that is synonymous with the band .

and it sounds like he has no clue what's going on and sings randomly throughout the songs.

Napalm is a great song, but I just can't seem to get into the rest of them.
