George was and is so handsome. That Faith album was played over and over and over and over by so many of us. This award and his winning the Grammy for Album of the Year was extremely deserved, especially when you consider how much of the work he did on it himself. The songs are some of the greatest of the pop & soul genre - Father Figure, One More Try, Kissing a Fool, Hand To Mouth, Faith. Something like 6 #1 hits (also included I Want Your Sex & Monkey!)
