  • Lovely, succinct; strong choice of poem.. and I loved your video too

  • @dashpoet Too kind, Dash. I'm no artists like you, but sometimes I get a bug in me to do it anyway.

  • Beautiful, Lo, and wonderful artwork. I wasn't saddened by your having to take down those videos only because your extraordinary words were gone. It's your delivery that made the poems shine even brighter, and that still shines here with Ron Koertge's poem. ;^>

  • @QualiaSoup Thanks for saying that. I just watched your new video yesterday. That kind of clear, sophisticated articulation is so impressive: you must have a very disciplined mind. In juxtaposition, right before I saw your video, a student had come to complain about how hard the reading assignment was and she screwed up her face and got this kind of distant look like she would rather be eating cheesecake and said, "Thinking is hard."

  • I knew it would be a good one! Love that end line — and the two different senses that came through it: 1) that as a child school seemed to stretch on forever with no end — really captures that child-like sense of being engulfed — and 2) that the desks changing from school desks to work desks, and evoking this perpetual grind, serving some other interest than your own. Beautiful imagery too — love the words in the rain! Now back to my desk .... ;8)

  • @TheraminTrees I liked that about it too. Thanks so much for the comment! :o)

  • Excellent. Succinct...and excellent.

  • Great imagery and delivery. It's nice and open-ended, like such a character as the title suggests.

  • @tinySpectacle ... such artistry in your poetry can only mean one thing to me..

  • Love the images, great poem.

  • There's something very sweetly sentimental in that. Concise and enjoyable!

  • @tinySpectacle the feelings are mutual. for certain. you are very talented! xo
