Demo of the Granger E35 Regal amplifier, featuring performance by Truman Steffens. www.GrangerAmp.com for pricing, specs, available options, etc. This amp is all-tube, hand-wired, 35 watts, and inspired by the amps of Ken Fisher (Trainwreck). Controls are (L-R) 3-position bright switch, Volume, Treble, Middle, Bass, Presence. It has two KT77 (can also run EL34, or 6V6), two 12AX7 (JJs in this clip), and one Tung Sol 12AX7 in V1. Orange Drop (716 series) signal caps and carbon film resistors in the signal path. PT and OT are Tonesluts. The recording is a 1993 Gibson SG plugged straight into the amp. The cabinet is a standard 4x12 made of 3/4" baltic birch loaded with 8 ohm Mojotone BV-25s, wired in series/parallel for 8 ohms. The mic is a Behringer 58, into a dbx386 mic pre, and recorded on a Roland VS-1680. Reverb added at mixdown. For more info, current pricing, and ordering, please visit www.GrangerAmp.com
Sounds great! So it appears everything is up fairly high and the guitar volume control is controlling the gain? I like the fullness of the tone. 3 position bright switch is cool too. Otherwise I dig the simplicity of this amp.
