I agree up to a point, but they were still, and arguably still are, a great band, mainly because there were so many brilliantly creative people within the band, none moreso than Andy.

Brian 25%

Steve 25%

Mick 25%

Andy 25%

it was -is, im a new fan n.n- so

Brian: 20%

the fans:15%

the instruments: 5%

and then all together is full 100% Sweet :D

Agree. Sweet lost some of its character when Brian left but developed further in other areas. I really like CATR, Waters Edge and Identity Crisis. Different, yes, but still very good. Some great songs on those albums!

Great song form a so much underrated "last" album ... at least the last with Steve Priest.

If they would have had Brian back in the band for this album it could have been as great as "Give us a wink" or "off the record".

Looking back on the 4 albums from the Polydor years, "Level Headed" and "Cut above the rest" where an attempt to join the AOR elite such as Fleetwood Mac or Eagles, "Waters Edge" and "Identity Crises" where a return to the hard rock style that Sweet mad such a great band.
