duran duran completely took over that era of mtv being new because the videos were so great and still hold till now as just beautifully made,no one else was doing it like that in that way.

Duran Duran had Russell Mulcahy. He portrayed duran duran in a whole new vision which looked like movies. Their Videos were never cheesy except maybe Planet Earth. Duran Duran always explored new avenues which I always liked about them. All of their albums are different. The music business is tough, but duran duran has always toughed out the worst. They may not be as popular as the 80's but us as fans still love and adore the band which why they still survive by us. :D

somehow I get the feeling that MTV is now boycotting Duran Duran. I mean, their album Astronaut was just brilliant, but afaik never reached MTV.
Imo the Astronaut album was the perfect blend between modern pop and 80's sound.
Red carpet massacre on the other hand was the biggest mistake ever.

@Keybern i dont think RCM was a mistake , DD is always known by exploring new sounds and every album had a different direction and i like that , thanks for your comment

@RocioDD I agree, it's one of the things I love most about DD and I liked many songs on Red Carpet Massacre. To me Falling Down is an incredibly beautiful song and very much a Duran Duran song. The Valley is great and was esp. good in concert.

@GizziesGirl2 they are awesome live ! tricked out too is amazing live ! i al so tired of the "hits" song , sorry but i can not stand notorious hungry like the wolf again , but i wil love to hear lonely in your nightmare , any one out there , to the shore , or from the forgotten albums like medazzaland , big thing or pop trash ... i am dreams i guess , thanks for your comment !
