Vista stopped detecting my USB mouse, saying it was for Windows 95. Worked 6 months ago before it fucked up.
I connected the SAME mouse to the SAME computer with an Ubuntu Live CD. Worked.
Old Windows XP laptop that's even OLDER than the computer with Vista - Worked.
Laptop with Windows 7 out of the box - Worked.
Computer mentioned on top of this list with Vista running - Did not work.
Said computer now runs Ubuntu. Vista sucks

Luckily, the old laptop with XP I had provided discs for the laptop. Provided by HP and Compaq, they were the OS discs for Windows XP SP2, and the drivers and applications for the laptop.
