@SpiritFilledJohn Take it from someone who's grew up in a pentacostal church, who learned all there is to that doctrine and found it deeply lacking and severely debilitating. Tell me; do you love your bible? Or are you like I was; you cringe at it, even though you know you should love it, and can't find anything to fix that broken emotionalism? Christ said "Sanctify them in Your truth; Your word is truth." Pay attention; there's a lot more in there then tongues, read your bible and pray.

No that is not what he said. He meant that since he started pastoring that Church, he has not gone through the book of Mark with them. I wonder if such straight remark can be misunderstood, how much more is the Bible?

He says he hasn't done a study of Mark - Zac Poonen, who tells the whole council of God, has done every book (in both Testaments).

@SpiritFilledJohn The Gospel and the Spirit go hand in hand. Far too often now we get too much spirit and not enough Gospel. Remember Jesus not only performed Miricles but he also taught the word. I love the supernatural and have been blessed to have seen some amazing miricles when praying for people. But the problem I see around me now (especially as the church i just left dives into prosperity gospel) is a lack of solid biblical teaching to anchor christians to essential fundementals.

John Macarthur is a good teacher. Although he says he preaches the true gospel but sadly doesnt. He preaches a dead gospel which is in word and not in the demonsrtation of the Spirit and power. The gospel is a walking testimony of Jesus Christ. Also calvinsim is heresy!!

SpiritFilledJohn To say MacArthur preaches a "dead gospel" is incrediblily off base. Let me ask you, what greater miracle could there possibly be than for the Lord God Almighty to grant His grace to an undeserving (dead in sin) sinner,forgive his sins and justify him in His sight because of Jesus Christ`s sacrifice,cause him to pass from death unto life, give him His Spirit and holy desires, and promise him Heaven and give him eternal life? Which is what MacArthur preaches. As for Calvinism,

SpiritFilledJohn Study your Bible a bit more closely.. Read and learn what Calvinism IS by Calvinists.. And compare it to Scripture, and see and learn (for yourself) if these things are so.
