Nikki is annointed and sounds beautiful. Its important to understand that riffs are not just for decoration but riffs are an expression, it's someone sharing their feelings in a song. Just like a sentence has an exclaimation point at the end or a question mark. Riffs are punctuations tailored to that individual's life, that person's story.

those guys in the back were getting on my nerves. and nikki KILLED this in the best way..no true vocals my black ass! she was hittin them notes like crazy, and the runs were beautiful, if u want to hear a straight song sang with no emotion, just bland, stop looking at nikki's videos, people always gotta complain about someones singing

@TruthTeller201 Well mics are not only used for the specific purpose of allowing an audience to hear but also for recording. I'm sure the musical was recorded and probably sold. I believe it would takes mics to record the sound. I digress. Be blessed.

Nikki Ross has a beautiful voice but sometimes can do a little too much, but hey so does Karen Clark and no one says anything about her..Every performance can't be an A+ as long as her heart is in the right place..Now, the director's pants are waaaay too tight!!! Why does he always dress like a flamming queen? SMH

I don't want to get into her being/not being anointed. I just want to say that totally understand the jazz style of singing with the riffs and runs.I actually love to hear it when it is done well. This woman has a great voice and can really sing. I would have loved to hear her sing this to more of the original tune with a little riff and run here and there.I mist admit some of those runs she got lost and she was off and it showed in her timing. Again she is very talented and has a GREAT voice

I have nothing against old school gospel.im sure it blessed sumbody. But if God has given u the ability to do sum beautiful things, and u use it for his glory and it is WHOLE HEARTED, why is it so hard to believe that a soul can be saved by it. Im not saying u have to do rifs and runs but thats how u bring different audiences to God. Theres a jazz player living in sin. Letting him listen to Nikki, could really be a blessing in his life. Whatever relates to people.We all serve one God.

@truth teller201 Bye!!Ur clearly a hater.She is a beautiful singer. Point blank. Her runs were not misplaced. She is a jazz based singer.U can tell from everything she sings. But God makes all singers different, and she uses the gift god gave her and shes pouring it out to God as a symbol of THANKS. She doesnt sing to the audience, or you!!! She is using all that talent God has placed in her, and she is pouring it out to make GOD happy. All that talent is being lifted up in Jesus name. so bye!

@ikom35 Perfectly said! People think they can discern anointing by their emotions. "I wasn't ministered to" is so childish for worshipers who should be ministering to God. If you can find fault with the lyrics or something like that, I may be more interested in hearing such a complaint. What a task it must be to discern everyone's anointing and know their hearts. Actually I'm quite impressed because I used to think that God was serious when He said He alone can see the heart.
