@LordEcho666 Its more akin the generic mecha genre (World Peace) which does pull references to WWII. Lelouch does take a role similar, but not completely, like Hitler. He didn't want world domination, but instead wanted world peace through hatred from everyone around him. Great Leader with a Great Plan.
