The un-elected Business manager Jim Duncan took his job straight out of his Commissioner of administration of the State of Alaska. Th eliminate his conflict of interest he signed this stipulation that he would not work on any matter that arose while he was commissioner of Admin, nor would he work on any matter that involved interpretation of the contracts he worked on ad Commissioner. He was then able to take

his job, collect his pay , but not do anything.

Here is some genuine AFSCME shady dealing and the proof is in the paperwork. I'm sure this is not the only local with shady deals like this. (Conspiracy to deprive rights in fact.)

AFSCME Local 52 in Alaska was taken over by former State employees in 2002. They did this in violation of Conflict of Interest laws and to avoid liability of the Administration they worked under.

please help i plan to organize against this union and join a better one but i need reasons like the ones you just listed i need proof and paperwork and hopefully some resources

AFSCME has no moral fiber.

I know this because I used to work for AFSCME.

AFSCME demands of the people that work for them the following:

1) To work overtime hours without compensation

2) To not organize into bargaining units

3) If they do organize into bargaining units AFSCME will force those units to put illegal clauses (such as forced overtime without compensation) into their contracts.

AFSCME does not have the moral character to remain a labor union.

We simply want to save the services we provide to our veterans and elderly patients/residents. We currnetly do not plan to riot at the present time.  We will keep you posted. Thanks for your comments.
