  • @Teufelsnachbar667 ,the entire issue is that even if loaded ammo does go boom if hit,it would not do it in the way shown in the 'javelin' video.

  • i hope 80,000 us tax money was not just spend, thats more than i make in 5 years. no kidding

  • @insas223 The "explosives" in the javelin test where there to simulate the loaded ammo for the main gun. Look up pictures of shermans that got hit in ww2, when the ammo dump is hit the tank goes boom.

  • lol

  • @insas223 yeap, that's for sure, it can take out anything on the battlefield, Bill2 penetrates 500mm RHA even behind ERA and from top of the tank, and during Saab tests jet penetrated and went thru the tank and went out from bottom, Bill2 can kill everything while Javelin penetrates minimum 800mm, so it's like giving hellfire to the infantry :DD:

  • @nacarckeckia You may also line to see this:

Browse this on yu tube 'Indian Army Javelin Live Fire'

In any case there is one thing, explosion or no,in case a heat jet penetrates the turret and the tank does not have suitable internal liners or protection or that is defeated,in all probabilities the crew will die or be severely injured. This takes noting away from the Javelin as a deadly AT weapon.

  • @nacarckeckia In the Javelin video, the tank goes ka-boom in one instant with track, sprocket, chassis, etc being strewn to bits all over indicating an internal HE charge. In real life, on a hit with a HEAT round,IF exposed ammo is hit it explodes ,cooks off other ammo in which build up an blow out the turret. Most of the time the tank chassis is left to burn away,in most images the Tank chassis is on the ground in one piece with tracks and sprockets burned away. Javelin even blows out the chassis!

  • @insas223 and I've checked battle damage photos, look up russian georgian war, some of them are blown up in pieces in that manner

  • @insas223 @insas223 @insas223 wait, you want to say that two fuel tanks on the end of t-72 is it's main fuel tank? and it takes 320 gallons in it? what tank carries fuel externally, that's just stupid, any hit in the fuel tank and that's it, you'll loose fuel, and be immobile, that's just not right

  • @nacarckeckia The javelin vid showed the tank being blown to bits. A T-series tanks carries fuel externally and tanks are so designed to burn outside and diesel does not explode easily. As far as internal exposed tank ammunition goes,it will most certainly explode and when it does it blows the turret clean off the tank ring and all!Check battle damage photos of Tanks. The ammo simply vents outwards. The way the tank blew to bits in the Javelin vid does show manipulation.
