well perhaps you are right, I am secular myself having studied physics as a young man, but if you are religious then of course Handels Messiah, for example, with all the singing about God, the Son of God, Holy virgins etc would have more effect on you than on me, though I do admit to a tear in my eye occasionally.

  • @jamianpal, there are many baroque pieces which are not just pleasing, but also moving. Bach's organ works are good examples of this type of baroque work. In particular, some of the religious baroque works evoke powerful feelings of sacredness.

  • corelli is a baroque composer so you would expect to be pleased by this performance by good musicians, but not 'moved'

  • The voicing is well-balanced and this is pleasing to listen to overall. It's not very moving, however, and there are much better performances of this piece.
