@AnnandSully Thank you Ann. I will get the 3/4 blade.

I have had my goldendoodle for over 8 months now. She is great, and calm like Sully. After having her professionally groomed twice and the price of that, and watching your videos 3 times, I am ready to purchase an AG2. My girl doesn't matt much, and I keep up with combing. What length will the 5/8 blade give me. We like her at an inch or more. 1/2 is definitely too short. I want to do this, but am a little scared of mistakes. But the groomer makes "mistakes" too. Is the 5/8 good for us?

I am a professional groomer and I can't tell you how much I appreciate this series! There are things I do differently- but that is because I groom 50 dogs a week and need to be aware of time & be exact with my finishing. That said- I love to see such a caring "dog Mom" investing the time it takes to properly care for this coat.. I plan to tell my clients about your videos- especially those with new "doodles". If more people tried this- they'd appreciate the work that goes into grooming. Thanks!

Thank you for your pro active grooming. Our Golden Doodle, Madeleine, is 4 years old and we love her sooooo much and try to keep her from getting too Matted but no use. Tomorrow we will be much more pro grooming- No worries Mate.

Yep, I'm continuing to watch. This is a great training video. Ann is showing me how to do it without it being intimidating. Most prof. groomers lose me - Watching Ann & Sully makes me think I can do this.
The 3/4 blade is my current blade of choice. As the name implies, it gives you a 3/4 inch cut. You can use the plastic snap on combs to get a longer coat, but I've never had much luck with them. Sully's coat is light and fluffy and just lays down in front of the comb. I alternate between the 5/8 and the 3/4 blades, using the 5/8 where I want the coat a little shorter (chest, belly) and the 3/4 on the back and sides. You really can't see much of a difference between the two.
