Vampire Knight MMV - Forever

WARNING: Contains Chapter 51 Spoilers. Do not watch if you have not read that far! (Nor should you read my commentary.)

Initially I planned to make this a KanamexYuukixZero tribute. However, the more I listened to the lyrics, the more I thought it would work with just Kaname. I changed my mind after listening to the song a few times. Hearing "but my feelings for you are forever" really matched up with Kaname and Yuuki's relationship. Although she may not remember him at this moment, he will always love her, and he's willing to wait for her until she recalls her memories and her love for him.

That being said, this video is mostly a Kaname tribute. Not too many people focus on Kaname's darker side (or at least I haven't seen any videos), but this video does just that. It shows the pain and torment Kaname experiences as he waits for Yuuki to return to her former self; he does some drastic things in the meantime (ie: killing Shizuka), but in the end it's really all for Yuuki. Some people may see him as evil or cruel, but he's doing these things to protect Yuuki.

I don't understand how the ancestor thing makes a difference. It's not like Child Kaname had a ton of a fun with Yuuki and all, then got body swapped.

The ancestor has always been Kaname. He's always been he one who's tried to do right by Yuuki.

@funlover163 Exactly. He may be here ancestor, but he's the same Kaname that Yuuki has always known. They grew up together, and he's the one who saved her from that vampire, etc., etc. It's the same Kaname. I don't know why it makes a difference at all... Kaname is Kaname. He still loves Yuuki.

@Bellinka0 Exactly. Everyone seems to be such a Zero fangirl that they focus only on the bad for Kaname and only on the good for Zero. But Zero's done some pretty bad things, too, so it's not fair that they only make Kaname out to be the bad guy. D:

Kaname may have done some things, but he loves Yuuki. Everything he does is for her; he does not just act maliciously. He truly cares for Yuuki, and not enough people seem to understand that. :|

I agree with you. I love Kaname and I am sorry that most of people are on the side of Zero. Kaname has dark side but don´t matter me. He's doing everything for Yuuki and I love his way of love. Kaname is the best even he´s doing bad things.
