Utopia - Within Temptation featuring Chris Jones

Slideshow I made to the brand new Within Temptation song "Utopia" that features Chris Jones. This is the songs first full radio play off of a Dutch radio station the video is to be released in the coming weeks. The single is to be released on October 23 and the song will also be featured on the forthcoming release An Acoustic Night at the Theatre releasing on October 30/November 2.

Sharon said they never wanted to be pushed in a box. But when the single Ice Queen got picked up by radiostations, and their Mother Earth album became famous a year after its release, media used a label to discribe the music. Gothic. It's not ike they try to be one or another, they just make music they love. I don't care what genre it is, I own 3 albums and literally every song is great. Awesome band!

only the first three albums and the dance EP have strong gothic elements.. Within temption started as Goth/symphony metal, and even celtic/grunt stuff sometimes. but they have lots of other songs and genre's too. :)

@Ireneoe1 Oh common, don't tell me what's a goth band ok? I said I prefer to call them a goth band, because I can't describe them as something else. And don't say they don't look like one, they've got plenty of gothic elements in their video's and band. And yes, maybe it doesn't make them one, but IDK, it's my meaning anyways, so yes, I put a label on them!

Yes you're right, but alot of people do think they are, and actually I prefer them as a goth band, because I don't know how else I must describe them, and they were I goth band in the past, I thought. But I agree with your  point.

JrockFTW22: I'm pretty sure the new album won't sound like this. While I don't think this is their best work, it's still nice. I think they like experimenting with other styles (hence the change from ME to TSF to THOE). It's not like a band can't have side projects, after all. As long as their next album remains within the metal/rock/pop region and doesn't veer too into country like this one...
