Make some free videos for yourself too. Get a blazing topic / issue for today or this week, go out into the public and do interviews, edit it and post it on You Tube as Video journalism. It gets you more experience and people begin to notice your company. What you do always adds to your portfolio, make each day count into your goal of becoming a modern day Spielberg. Make documentaries, approach TV stations like PBS or locals and ask if you can get funding once you have a stock of documentaries.

I must say that all those ideas work, except giving plasma and blood, because if you don't have blood, don't do that. Lol. Other than that, get video gigs for families or shooting business seminars or weddings, piano recitals, plays, or keepsake anniversary videos. Also visit craigslist for job gigs once you become a little experienced, you don't want to look like a blundering fool with business cards and can't do the job. Make sure you develop confidence once you gain experience.

Very nice, do you have any specific sources as far as websites that would pay you to produce media for them?

I would like to know if you know how to get some backing to support your making of a film if any?

1. DJ, learn how to use a turn table and a mixer... great job, well paid.
2. Bartender: try to work at a nice restaurant in hollywood too.
3. In the worse case, valet parking, I never ever dreamed of doing that, but you have to make money somehow.

A friend of mine did the wedding videography thing and has been quite successful. He now films two weddings a week and charges $1000 to $3000 per wedding.
