http://www.truewhitelight.com/ Cree has demonstrated the brightest, most efficient, LED-based A-lamp that can meet ENERGY STAR® performance requirements for a 60 watt standard LED replacement bulb. This unprecedented level of performance is the result of Cree innovation, Cree barrier-breaking LED performance, Cree TrueWhite® Technology and patented Cree remote phosphor technology.

  • tell me what i figured out more than 20 years ago when i saw leds as a kid

  • @Bogdan1Boggy I have to say our home has been retrofitted with these LED lamps on a 25 ft vaulted ceiling. Replaced 75 watt incandescent with the CREE equivalents. They are visually twice as bright.... not harsh color, but bright. They look like halogens.

Most important, they are cool running.

When I saw them, I laughed.... but Costco takes back what doesn't work. Got 5 for our living area. I bought 4 cases of them since for all applications. Not a single failure yet. Color of light=wow

  • We have about 30 of your 75 watt version CREE LED reflector lamps (18 watts actual power use each) both at house and shop. I am VERY impressed. Specification is 850 lumens, buch is much brighter than incandescent and CFL. Phosphor looks like halogen quality.

I was concerned about how hot the heat sink would get, but in the ceiling cans, can still touch your LED lamp heat sink and not feel burning.... they should really last a long time.

    Good engineering guys.

  • what about a 100W equivalent??

  • led light bulbs with cree chips performance well , but not always the other parts of the light bulb are high quality ,which also plays important roles .search "cree led" when buy led light bulbs ,will meet you better .

  • But what does it cost?

  • @Bogdan1Boggy Incandescent light bulbs are nothing like LED's. It's an utterly different technology filling the same role. By the the same logic the car is didn't replace the horse, it simply improved the horse.

  • Haha, if Edison wouldn't have invented the incandescent light bulb, today you would've presented the first LED candle. It's improvement, not replacement.

  • how many $100 bills will i need to buy them?

  • I couldn't tell if this was a pro-LED bulb video or an anti Thomas Edison video.
