Doing some research I have managed to downgrade from vista to xp with out any issues on my hp dv5t pavilion laptop. I had to download & use Nlite to install the sata drivers in order to progress my windows xp installation. After installation I installed all the xp drivers from the hp website and installed the recommended drivers. How I got my audio IDT sound working was from using windows update site and installed all the software from there I hope this helps

  • Hi! Nice work youve done here. Ive got the same laptop and problems with downgrading. Can you explain which files you told nlite to integrate with xp? and where did you get the sata drivers? thanks
