Hotel Carlton's efforts in becoming green include using: * Non-chemical cleaning products * Recycled paper and soy based inks * Recycling programs in guest room and hotel operations * Linen reuse program for guests * Fluorescent lighting throughout the hotel * Motion light detectors in guest rooms * Low flow shower heads and toilets * Organic products at our restaurant, Saha * Local charitable organizations to donate used bedding and unused amenities

Awesome hotel with impressive green credentials. During my stay I found I was regularly taking the elevator to fill the water jug, potentially offsetting the benefits of avoiding plastic bottles. There were just too many stairs to take every time I was thirsty!

The ceiling fans are a great idea and should be mandatory in all hotels, homes and offices. The San Fran breeze is a nice idea, but an open window also lets in a cacophony of sirens during the night! Another fan would be ideal.
