This is Part 1 of my Colt / Umarex disassembly instructions. In this video series, I will guide you step by step on how to take apart the rifle completely and then put it back together. It is not hard to do, and this video shows you it all. I did my best to make it move quickly, but still cover all the important steps. -Steve

  • thanks so much for these takedown videos. I thought my rifle was clean, till i disassembled it. Holy Crap! I never saw so much grit n grime in my life! No wonder it was malfunctioning all the time!

  • I like to completely seperate the top and bottom receivers to field strip this gun. When I remove the *forward* receiver pin there is a spring-loaded ball press-fit in the hole where the pin goes that looks like it is supposed to rest on the dedent in the middle of the pin, to hold the pin in place. However, that ball on my gun remains recessed and never touches the pin (it moves little but does not come out far enough).

Is this the same on your gun?

  • Great job!!! It was easier then I thought it would be. And thanks for making your movie in focus. Some of these idiots on youtube don't know what focus means. A+

  • Excellent video. Very clear and easy to follow step-by-step instructions. I just took my gun apart and cleaned it with your video playing in the background. IT WAS SO EASY. I dont know why I was afraid to try it all this time. Thank you again!

  • Great instructional video. I am really working up to this gun. I think it will be a pretty fun experience and an excellent training tool for the real thing. Job well done lad!

  • Thank you so much!!! This series of videos was exactly what I was looking for. Following your excellent video made it super easy to take apart my gun so I could clean it. A+++
