2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee 3.6L 0-60

Finally got to drive the new 2011 model. It's not very fast but at least the engine is much more refined now and its quicker than the old 3.7L model, the 5 spd auto definitely slows it down, I wish it shifted much quicker and its geared too widely for fuel economy. But the biggest improvement is the interior anyways, its a nice place to spend time and the materials are excellent.

It is no fun when I cant hear the engine. Got to be able to feel what you are driving. If you are so annoyed by the noise get a prius

Im sure the 5.7L really goes lol Its too bad bc this engine is freaking quick in the caravan with the 6 speed auto.

Bc they wanted to increase the fuel economy so they made the gearing extra wide i guess. But yeah the tranny really makes the new V6 look and feel sluggish

yes the 5 speed auto is slower and is more focused on fuel econemt with the 3.6l, but that's why people buy the v6 in the jeeps. If they want more speed, they'll get the hemi

@20044runner The gearing in the Hemi one is just as long. I drove one thinking it was the 3.6L until I popped the hood. Boy was I surprised.
