Susan McGinnis anchors this afternoon's Clean Skies News Energy Report from Washington, DC.
On the program:
- A Transocean official told federal investigators today that the Deepwater Horizon's blowout preventer never went through a rigorous recertification because it was being constantly maintained.- Vice President Biden says the federal program to weatherize 600,000 homes by March 2012 is back ion track after a slow start.- MSHA says methane gas may be bubbling up through a flooded section of Massey's Upper Big Branch mine, where 29 men were killed in an April explosion.- California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger is set to sign a bill delaying implementation of the state's tough new efficiency standards for TV's until next year.
