Happy Halloween from all of us at I.I.A.S., Ltd. Here is your treat from us for being our fans and supporters...and just watching our stuff in general.

Yes, to those of you who remember "Thunderball (Halo)" and that little promotional bit for "Casino Royale" after the end credits, the "Quantum of Solace" trailer segment you see at the start is a continuation of that.

The original purpose of the collection was to embrace Daniel Craig's entry into the role of James Bond and reflect upon the series's long musical history, re-envisioned with today's two popular forms of entertainment; Anime and Video games, but since I was only able to get one done before the movie premiered, it's concept almost became obsolete, but that's ancient history.

Why it took so long to continue onward from #15 stems from a number of factors, including laziness, practicing with a new video editing software that I purchased back in September, and also with just how difficult it was to work with this song.

"The Man With Golden Gun" is ranked right up there with "We Have All The Time In The World", and "Goldeneye", as one of the most difficult title songs to find the right source material for. The lyrics are very detailed and specific about the character...but once again, thanks to Adult Swim, an anime came to my attention, revolving around a mysterious young figure on golden roller skates and who attacks random people with a bent golden baseball bat, and the psychological effects his actions have on the community.

In my 007 AMVs, there is always something on-screen that focuses the audience's attention on the subject of the song. Lil' Slugger seemed to fit the ominous and fatal atmosphere that surrounds Fransisco Scaramanga...and the golden bat was the most apparent object, in either anime or video games, that could represent the assassin's legendary weapon.

Without further ado, I hope you enjoy this video, and the film, "Quantum of Solace" when it is released.

thanks, i really think you revived in some sense of the meaning the classic bond themes,by the way i'm looking forward to your amv version of "for your eyes only".

  • Haha, thanks a lot.

Unfortunately, "007 AMV #12: For Your Eyes Only" is the primary reason why development on subsequent videos has all but ground to a halt. I have the perfect source material in mind already, but it's the execution of this idea is what's been giving me trouble. I think it's something beyond my current level of editing skill.

I have invested in both Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects, and I will put in the time to learn their capabilities.

  • Does this Lil Slugger end up getting killed or arrested? I hope so.

  • You'll have to see the whole 13-part series to find out exactly what he is and his fate.

  • @steeltownbrown52 he's actually the manifestation of the lies that the various characters in the neighborhood tell each other or something metaphorical like that

  • Despite of many people hate this movie I think TMWTGG was great - one of my favorite Bond movies. Roger Moore, Christopher Lee and Britt Ekland were brilliant.

The soundtrack (Lulu) was very unique

  • In the ending, Lil slugger is just a made up phantom. The girl with the dog confesses to what happened and he goes away.

    Owned!!!

  • Ahhh, like always bud, I can't offer any constructive criticism due to the fact that you raised the bar again. XD You know this by now, but you've got the greatest knack for finding the best visuals for your audio library. >=D And it DEFINITELY makes for a great video experience.

You know, I never really understood this anime until I watched several of the later episodes, but I think you really nailed Lil' Slugger's character with the song. XD Hell, the title nearly says it all.

    Great job!
