It was about John (former Marine) Murtha's proposal that all U.S. troops -- "at the earliest time practicable" -- be withdrawn from Iraq.

The proposal went down in flames in a voice vote.

A congressman then moved that there be a recorded vote (like 429 to 2 or something) in order to let the troops know that Murtha's ideas about what's in freedom's interests are overwhelmingly not supported by the congress as a whole.

I love the fake outrage from the democrats. Those people have no shame.
