This is one of my favorite Catholic Mass songs. I lucked out at Mass this month and heard it one Sunday. It's even better live. Enjoy!

Lyrics:

What do you want of me, Lord? Where do you want me to serve you? Where can I sing your praises. I am your song.

Refrain: Jesus, Jesus, you are the Lord. Jesus, Jesus, you are the way. 2. Jesus, Jesus, you are my Lord. Jesus, Jesus, you are the way. 3. Jesus, Jesus, be warmth of my heart. Jesus, Jesus, you are the way. Jesus, Jesus, you are my light. Jesus, Jesus, you are the way.

I hear you call my name, Lord, and I am moved within me. Your Spirit stirs my deepest self. Sing your songs in me.

Above, below, and around me. Before, behind and all through me, your Spirit burns deep within me. Fire my life with your love.

You are the light in my darkness. You are my strength when I'm weary. You give me sight when I'm blinded. Come see for me.

  • THIS is written for someone who has found faith that goes beyond religion.

Catholic Protestant or whatever does not matter if YOU have a personal relationship with Christ. That is what HE calls us to and where peace that passes understanding is to be found and then comes the strength to live the servant life. I have found Christ

in churches with opposing views in my long life The Lord will look into our hearts when we meet him.

  • @zephsgranddad2 I agree 100%.

  • this is indeed a beautiful song... a person so down this moment, like me, don't know which path would like to take... a lot of painful experiences drag me down... every time hears this song lift me up... to continue to serve him in my little way. for you who post this video thank you so much. your an instrument... i miss my vocation, i miss the convent life... God bless you!

  • @zieyhan: God bless you, too. I sympathize with you right now, and your personal troubles. I hope the path for you ahead is bright and you find joy soon!

  • This is indeed a very Catholic-Mass song. The Servant's Song in our rite is very different:

Brother, sister, let me serve you,

let me be as Christ to you.

Pray that I may have the grace

to let you be my servant, too ...

with what to me is a much more structured tune with a little twist in the penultimate bar.

  • @kapariz44: Thanks for the comments. I think I've heard the version you speak of. Which rite is this song?

  • I have become ever so close to the Lord in my recent days, and it's so sad to see that more than half of my friends are atheists. Even worse than that, one of them believes in the Lord, but she just hates him. Even though it gets me picked on and laughed at, I'm proud to say that I'm a Christian! :) Just like some wise person on Facebook says, If God brought you to it, he will bring you through it! <3

  • @foodie65 depends on which church you go to, im catholic and our congregation always sings and claps to songs.

  • cant stop crying, i miss my grandmother so much. when i go to church i feel empty without her

  • Get rid of that bloody piano.

  • @zephsgranddad2 from the prophet malachi: "Have we not all one Father? Did not one God create us? Why do we profane the covenant of our fathers by breaking faith with one another?" I am a Roman Catholic and I confess I have declared that all churches outside the RCC (Roman Catholic Church) are heritics who have lost the true way - I apologize for my arrogance, today's mass set me streight with those words so truly spoken by Malachi. My bad

  • If this is live, why is the congregation not singing along? I never understand why Catholics don't sing hymns.

  • @kapariz44 I believe the version you quoted was written By David Haas.
