A group of young boys are stranded alone on an island. Left to fend for themselves, they must take on the responsibilities of adults, even if they are not ready to do so. Inevitably, two factions form: one group (lead by Ralph) want to build shelters and collect food, whereas Jack's group would rather have fun and HUNT; illustrating the difference between civilization and savagery.

  • What the heck happened to Ralphs arm?!?!?

  • @JoshBraunz He broke his arm a few weeks before filming.

  • @LordoftheFliesmovie If that is true when Jack pushes him later on in the film and he lands on it would he not be screaming in pain??

  • @JoshBraunz Because everything is planned, so he knew it was coming and could land on his other arm.

  • 5:48 haha diva pose

  • Is that the captain at 1:50??

I was trippin at first .. was that in their imagination?

  • The 1960 movie is way better at sticking to the book.

  • @jenny14love They also do in the book, although they both want to be the leader, and so the hatred begins to grow, and culminates when Jack is hunting Ralph through the jungle/forest.

  • @tinmanluver35 Yeah it doesn't really change the plot much..

  • @tinmanluver35 thanks :)

I know I'm a bit late replying, but the best we can assume is that he is just crazy because of his head injury. It's hard to say because none of this was in the original story; he just died in the book. I still love this movie but I'm not sure why they chose to drag the captain's death out.

  • @LolaSmile16 yep , this is a hollywood remake , and you know hollywood and over exaggeration.

  • Doesn't the captain die in the book?

  • 4:49 LOL
