I LOVE it. Have always wanted a hackle but couldn't justify the price with all my other stuff. Now I'm going to make one myself. Thank you for posting this!!! I've sent the link to all my spinning friends.

Ok well I bought some double row indigo hound combs that I think will organize the fibers like I want them. I use the lengths of roving for hairing latex halloween masks. I'm really uninformed on the whole fiber arts thing, but it's very fascinating!

Could you use this for something as fine as mohair? I mainly want to reorganize the fibers after they're dyed and sort of tangled. I suspect I would need something with a finer tooth pattern.

I have used it with mohair. Mostly to blend mohair or mohair locks with other fiber tho. Not just mohair by itself. I think it would work ok. I just haven't tried it. :)
