The second troupe of the Kingston Trio (Bob Shane, Nick Reynolds, and John Stewart) sings an unusual adaptation of a West Indian spiritual that is often performed around Christmas time. Titled by the Trio in its arrangement as "Glorious Kingdom," it is from the 1961 album "Close Up."
Great piece. The Joyful Noise @ Foundry UMC in DC did this in worship a number of times (along w/other KT spirituals) in the '80s.

Good Lord, had forgotten about this one, ty for reminding me of it. Gonna suggest it to our chori director as a possible choir anthem, he has a good reach and could make it happen.
