Just my thoughts on binging.

  • Yeah binging is weird. I cant stop sometimes, Ive been doing better but sometimes the binges still happen. You're a big inspiration.

  • We really have to train ourselves. Once we get into the habit of eating right for long periods it gets easier. When I screw up too many times in a row it tends to get hard and I feel like I have to kick the habit all over again so I try to be so very careful.

  • First I used to love the #5 Whataburger...but I like a large Dr. Pepper with mine. Oh the memories...LOL...I am still having the cravings but hoping they too will go away...You are doing so well..I hope to get where you are soon.

  • The more often you say "no" to something the easier it gets over time. I don't know how much God has a hand in it but I constantly thank Him for the will power and continue praying for more. Every little bit helps! LOL

  • Hi Maria, I know exactly what you mean...the longer you are on this road, the easier it is to say no. I was a late night eater myself and although I dont crave a certain food, sometimes I just want to have something. I recently found fruit cups..I am hooked hehe. I can't believe the food I used to shove into my mouth...now that sort of stuff makes me feel ill just thinking about it. Take care.

  • ohhhh fruit cups! never thought of that...coconut, pineapple, strawberries YUM i'm makin my mouth water just thinkin bout it!

  • Listening to you talk about what binging felt like made me wonder if it was me saying all of that! It is such a VISCOUS cycle and sooooo demeaning. Ever since I started binge eating I have had awful self-esteem and I used to be so confident- even pompous sometimes. You are such an inspiration and I am starting my 21 day habit NOW! Thanks :)

  • ew i'm 5"4 and weigh 111 and i wanna get to 102 pounds. I keep binging and I stay fat.

  • I binge all day long, and Iam waay over my recommended weight. Please pray for me, Im trying!

  • Just keep crap food OUT of your home. JUST KEEP IT OUT! Seriously it's as simple as that. That way if you do feel the need you'll end up binging on carrots. Not so bad.:)

  • Losingit4life, it's so easy not to see our bad eating habits until we get caught and feel the guilt. Ever do the one where you order alot at a fast food window and hope that if you order 2 sodas the person won't think it's all for you? Gosh I was particularly bad at the places that had dollar menus. It made me feel like I was getting such a good deal that I should order more...but it's the worse deal you can get!

  • yes its true 21 days is what you need to form a habit (good or bad) and i was plannin to make a video about my own struggles (now & then) and how emotional eating, bingeing, bulimia has affected my life...

    this is a road to healthiness that we are walkin and Thank God for YT friends (we are not on this alone)

  • Maria, I totally understand what you were saying about eating late at night while crying & feeling like a failure. I am very much an emotional eater so I struggled most of my life with that. I am so proud of you for making these changes in your life. You have remained strong & I applaud you!
