What is did you put between the retaining wall and the pool wall? Sand or gravel or nothing? Also are the retaining wall posts cemented in? How much did the materials for the retaining walls cost and an you tell me the sizes of the wood that was used? Thanks just looking to do this also

I put nothing between the pool and the wall. The pool is free standing. The wall is just to hold the earth back. This way I can drain the pool and I dont have to worry about a cave in. The posts are not cemented in. I used treated deck boards screwed to the posts as the wall. Not sure exactly how much that part cost. Did a little each weekend. Thanks for the question!

How do you propose to keep the pump from getting flooded in a heavy rain or if the pool leaks?

@StLouisEarl That's how I lost my first pump. Luckily the water level is still above ground level ,so I raised the pump up about 3'. Good question!

im gonna laugh when some kids lethal toenails puncture through the plastic and all the water leaks out

There's a lot to be said be jumping the nieghbours fence and using their pool when they are not home!
